Next Level is the in-between of Recreational GO Hockey and club or high school field hockey. At Next Level, players will focus on developing basic skills introducing the smaller, standard field hockey ball, while still using the GO Ball to introduce new skills. The field space will accommodate 7v7 play (as opposed to 4v4 we play at GO Hockey). In partnership with Undertow, our sister field hockey club team, our Next Level players have an extended 8-week season, and will join with Undertow players and coaches for a local tournament (included in Next Level GO Hockey fees). Sessions run Sundays at Tucker High School from 5:00-6:30 PM for six weeks, followed by two practice sessions with Undertow coaches (Sundays 2:30-4:30 PM), and culminating in a local tournament on October 25 in Henrico. The program is designed for U12 players (born Aug 2013 - July 2015) with all 6th/7th graders welcome regardless of experience. 5th graders should have foundational skills, and advanced 4th graders may be considered.
