Repelling (Rappelling) at WinShape Camps offers campers an exciting adventure as they learn to safely descend vertical surfaces using ropes and specialized equipment. This skill builds courage, trust, and technical knowledge while providing an unforgettable outdoor experience. Campers learn proper equipment use, safety protocols, body positioning, and rope management under the guidance of professional instructors. The activity challenges campers to face their fears and step outside their comfort zones in a controlled, safe environment. Participants experience the unique sensation of walking backwards down a wall or cliff face while managing their descent speed. The skill emphasizes safety, communication with belayers, and personal achievement. Part of the Adventure Program, repelling is combined with other outdoor activities for an immersive wilderness experience. Every descent keeps Jesus and His Word at the center, teaching campers that God gives them strength to do hard things.
