Wildlife and Wonder is an immersive nature program at Camp Meriwether designed for young naturalists. Campers explore Georgia's diverse wildlife through hands-on experiences, meet guest speakers who bring amazing creatures to camp, and learn about animal rehabilitation and conservation. This specialty program includes wildlife observation, habitat exploration, and educational sessions about local ecosystems. Participants will develop skills in animal tracking, nature journaling, and environmental stewardship while enjoying traditional camp activities like swimming, hiking, and outdoor skills. The program fosters a deep appreciation for nature and inspires campers to become advocates for wildlife conservation. Campers will leave with enhanced knowledge of Georgia's natural world and memories of close encounters with fascinating animals.
Parent drop-off and pick-up at Camp Meriwether. Check-in is Sunday from 1:00-3:00 PM, and check-out is Friday from 2:00-4:00 PM.
