Greeking Out! is an immersive camp that transports students to ancient Greece, exploring its rich mythology, culture, art, and history. Campers will learn about Greek gods and goddesses, famous myths and legends, ancient Greek civilization, and the lasting impact of Greek culture on the modern world. Through hands-on activities, creative projects, and interactive lessons, students will experience life in ancient Greece. Activities include creating Greek pottery and mosaics, designing and wearing togas, learning about Greek architecture and building models, studying Greek mythology through storytelling and drama, exploring ancient Greek games and sports, and learning basic Greek words and phrases. The camp combines history, art, literature, and STEM activities to provide a well-rounded educational experience. Students will participate in Olympic-style games, create their own mythological creatures, and even put on a short Greek play.
