Senses & Defenses is an exciting camp for rising kindergarten and 1st grade students (ages 4.5-6) that explores animal survival strategies. Campers imagine what it takes to live in the wild as a bear, plant, or rabbit, uncovering fun facts about animal habitats and plant and animal adaptations. Through hands-on activities, games, and animal encounters, children learn about the senses animals use to navigate their world and the defenses they employ to stay safe. The camp takes place at Maymont Farm, providing opportunities to observe and interact with various animals while learning about their unique survival strategies.
