Explore the art of memoir writing in this 12-week course. Students will learn techniques for mining personal experience, crafting narrative structure, developing voice, and writing with honesty and insight. The course covers selecting meaningful moments, creating scenes, dialogue, reflection, and revision. Through writing exercises, readings from published memoirs, and supportive workshop discussions, participants will develop memoir pieces. Whether writing for family, publication, or personal exploration, students will gain tools to transform life experience into engaging narrative. All experience levels welcome.
