This introduction to stand-up comedy is designed to get the creative juices flowing! Over the course of this twelve-week class, youth will explore ways to unlock ideas, practice writing those ideas with a joke structure, and try out a few lines of material to share with friends and family at the end of the semester. Students will learn about comedic timing, delivery, stage presence, and how to find humor in everyday observations. This class provides a supportive environment for students to develop their unique comedic voice, build confidence in public speaking, and learn the craft of stand-up comedy. Perfect for students who love to make people laugh and want to try something new and exciting.
