Introductory knitting classes at KOS introduce students to this traditional fiber art. Students learn basic knitting techniques including casting on, knit and purl stitches, and binding off. Each class includes a simple project that allows students to practice fundamental skills while creating a finished item. Knitting develops fine motor skills, patience, and focus while producing practical or decorative pieces. Classes are designed for complete beginners and provide all necessary materials including needles and yarn. Instruction is patient and supportive, allowing students to learn at their own pace.
