This summer theatre dance class introduces students ages 8-12 to the exciting world of musical theatre dance. Theatre dance combines elements of jazz, ballet, and Broadway-style movement to create the dynamic choreography seen in stage productions. Students learn jazz technique, theatrical performance skills, and how to tell stories through dance. The class emphasizes energy, personality, and stage presence while developing technical skills in turns, leaps, and jazz combinations. Students explore different musical theatre styles and learn to connect movement with character and emotion. Perfect for students who love performing and want to develop skills for musical theatre, or for ballet dancers looking to add versatility and performance quality to their training.
