Young makers will explore three-dimensional construction using cardboard, boxes, tubes, and other recycled materials. This hands-on class encourages creative problem-solving as students design and build their own inventions, sculptures, and imaginative structures. Projects might include robots, castles, vehicles, animals, or abstract sculptures - whatever students can imagine. The class teaches basic construction techniques including cutting, folding, taping, and joining materials, as well as decorating with paint, markers, and collage materials. Students learn to see the potential in everyday materials and develop spatial reasoning skills as they work in three dimensions. This class emphasizes the maker mindset of experimentation, iteration, and creative reuse. Perfect for young artists who love building, inventing, and working with their hands.
