Intro Camp is specifically designed for boys ages 7-12 who are new to overnight camping or want a shorter camp experience. This one-week program introduces younger campers to the magic of Camp River's Bend in a supportive, age-appropriate environment. Boys participate in two activity periods daily, sampling from the camp's full range of activities including archery, horseback riding, riflery, canoeing, fishing, campcraft, craftshop, field sports, baseball, and basketball. The week includes special activities like campfire sing-alongs, evening games, and opportunities to explore the beautiful mountain setting. Counselors provide extra attention and support to help first-time campers adjust to being away from home while building confidence, making new friends, and developing skills. This introductory session serves as an excellent stepping stone to longer camp sessions in future summers.
