Skate Camp at Sabot School offers rising 3rd through 5th grade students a half-day introduction to skateboarding skills and culture. This specialty camp teaches fundamental skateboarding techniques including balance, pushing, turning, stopping, and basic tricks in a safe, supportive environment. Campers learn proper safety practices, skateboard maintenance, and skate park etiquette while building confidence and athletic ability. The camp emphasizes progression at each individual's pace, with instruction tailored to both beginners and those with some experience. Through practice, encouragement, and peer support, participants develop coordination, perseverance, and a love for skateboarding. The experience combines physical activity with creative expression, as skateboarding is both a sport and an art form.
